Mazda 626 CB2

Hello colleagues,
Here are some pictures of my 626s.  
- The Cream Series 1 has a Mazda 13B Rotary engine.
- The Green Series 2 has a Mazda 13B Turbo engine.
- The Orange Series 1 is standard with MA 2.0L engine.

Here, 626 with rotary engines are just not existing. Our 121 have 1.8l or 2.0l, and we only know one with a rotary engine.

The cream one, I changed the engine from MA to 13B.







The engine and gearbox


A good friend built the engine.  It is a secondary Bridgeport.  I have 170Hp at the rear wheels.




I made the wiring for the new ignition.


The carburetor is an Edelbrock 650CFM.  It is big!  







I stripped all the old paint and had all the components powdercoated.

I made the extractors from thick wall steam pipe.




These are now covered with high temperature ceramic coating.


This muffler is O.D 180mm, 760mm long with I.D 75mm - It is for a truck!

I did not build this car.  This car was built and engineered in Tasmania by the previous owner.
He drove it at the race track and participated in Targa Tasmania with it.

It has a S5 FC RX7 13B Turbo engine, S5 FC RX7 Turbo gearbox and brakes, and uses
a Microtech MTX 8 aftermarket computer.

I have fixed the turbo wastegate - it was not shutting properly.  Before, the turbo made 5Psi, now
makes 12Psi.  I have 260Hp at the rear wheels after fixing the turbo and dyno tuning.

a une époque il y avait un coupé 626 en 2L et finitions haute qui a trainer sur un parking plusieurs années pas très loin d’où je bosse , je ne sais pas ce qu'il est devenu il était superbe dans sa teinte rouge
